We've always been told that yogurt is very healthy for you and is part of a healthy breakfast or snack. Well it can be...that is, if it's dairy-free.
At the Struggling Vegan, we know and can bet on our lives on it, that dairy-free yogurt is the only way to go. While we have been told otherwise all of our lives, dairy is actually not so good for you. Why? Because cow milk isn't for you; it's meant for a baby calf. It wasn't designed for you and so can have some negative consequences. But that doesn't mean you can't have your own creamy yogurt.
Fortunately, there are several brands of dairy-free yogurt or yogurt alternatives, available on supermarket shelves. They are made from alternative sources such as almond, coconut, soy, rice, etc. Note of caution: If you are allergic to peanuts, you may want to steer clear of the Almond alternatives.
